This problem is being actively used by the “bad guys” and wasn’t found until it was being used to attack machines.  There is no patch yet..and there’s no easy way to get around this issue.  The best thing you can do is delete the .dll file that causes this issue.  in any version of windows use the search tool to search for authplay.dll.  Once it comes up delete it.  This kills swf file handling and will cause flash and acrobat to crash when swf files are encountered but it at least doesn’t allow this file to act as a gateway to remotely take over your system.  Watch this space as i will post when patches are available.  Updated anti-virus programs are just beginning to detect it..but more variants will come to get around this.
