Another reason to block ads.

I have always blocked ads.  I knew that having a third party serve you ads with questionable security means these ad servers would be a problem for internet users.  Sure enough Spotify ads were compromised by malware authors and for a while your Spotify was now an attack platform for Linux, PC, and Mac Desktops.  Since android is a Linux platform I wonder of there were any Android devices compromised.  The ads are only served to free users.  Subscribing users do not get ads.  Do not use just any ad blocker as even the popular ones may not be what they seem. I use and recommend is adblock origin.  It is available for Chrome, Firefox, and Edge.
