ETC Maryland Announces Transition to Exclusive VPS Hosting Model and Free Infrastructure Upgrades for Existing Clients
Juiy 10, 2026 – ETC Maryland is announcing a strategic upgrade to our web hosting infrastructure. Effective August 1, 2026, we will discontinue the sale of our Shared Hosting products as we transition to an exclusively Virtual Private Server (VPS) hosting model.
As part of this enhancement, all current Shared Hosting clients will be automatically upgraded to our Managed VPS Nano product.
Uncompromising Security and Isolation This transition means every client website will now operate within a fully isolated, dedicated environment. By moving away from a shared ecosystem, we are virtually eliminating the risks associated with cross-site infections and unauthorized modifications by other users in case they get infected. This structural change represents a substantial leap forward in baseline security, reliability, and performance for all our clients.
A Seamless, Cost-Free Migration ETC Maryland is dedicated to delivering exceptional value and minimizing costs while continually improving our services. To ensure a smooth transition, our existing Shared Hosting environment will remain fully operational for the next 12 months. Over this one-year period, we will systematically facilitate the migration of all client sites to the new Managed VPS Nano platform.
This upgrade—and the migration process itself—is provided at absolutely no additional charge to our existing Shared Hosting clients. Our team will contact clients individually when their specific migration window approaches to advise if any action is required on their end.
